Step 1 — squad & block

Pick the squad & the block

One squad, one training block at a time. Set the squad up, choose 2–4 key lifts, then move on to building each lift's model and curve.

Squad & block

This scopes everything downstream — the model library, the curve builder and the generated tables all key off the lifts you pick here.

Key lifts (2–4)

Each lift gets its own independent periodization model and curve. Pulls from the exercise list — add a custom lift if yours isn't listed.

Model guide

Which model, and when?

What each base model does, who it suits, and where it fits the hurling and football season. Custom models you add in Settings appear here too.

Step 2 — select the base model

Choose the macrocycle logic

Pick one periodization model per lift. Not sure which? Open the model guide for what each one does and when in the season it fits.

Step 3 — build the intensity & volume curves

Set the stress curve before choosing rep protocols

Mesocycles are fully flexible — set how many, how long, the focus and the %1RM range for each. The chart updates live so you can sanity-check the shape.

Step 4 — deload & taper check

Review suggested drop weeks

Deloads are suggested at the end of each loading mesocycle (not the final peak week, and not where the model already has a reset week). Flag a competition date and a taper is placed before it. Nothing is applied silently: accept, reject or move each one.

Step 5 — squad & testing data

Bring in the athletes

Pull the squad and its latest 3RMs from the shared testing database, or bring in the dashboard file. Each tested RM is converted to an estimated 1RM for the %1RM loads. Missing tests are flagged, never guessed.

Shared database

Same login as Squad Testing and PlayerDash. Pulls every squad and each player's most recent 3RM per lift straight from where the testing is recorded.

Google Sheet connection optional

Reads roster + 1RMs from the coach's own Sheet and can write the generated program back into it. One-time setup — see Settings → Google Sheets.

Not connected

Reads your testing dashboard's Testing Log and Roster tabs directly (latest 3RM per lift, active players only). It also understands a one-row-per-athlete tab or ATHLETE PROFILE tabs. Until the Sheet is connected, uploading the dashboard file below works identically.

Squad & testing data

Upload your testing dashboard: the app reads the Testing Log, takes each player's most recent result per lift, skips inactive players, and lets you pick the team. Tested 3RMs are converted to an estimated 1RM for the %1RM loads. Blank tests are flagged and skipped for that lift only.

Program for

One athlete uses the same models and curves — handy for a returning player, a late tester, or someone on a different block to the squad.

Step 6 — output

Squad program

One table per lift. Every athlete follows the same %1RM curve, scaled only by their own current 1RM.
